The unemployment numbers for October came in and they were much worse than we and others expected. 190,000 jobs were lost and the unemployment rate went above 10 percent. It seems, in retrospect, that the numbers matched up far more closely to our exponential trendline estimate of 195,000 than the linear trendline estimate. So far, markets are trading down slightly. We’ll be sure to have much more later in the day.
